Canadian rapper Drake excited to sign partnership with cannabis brand

Drake, the popular Canadian-born rapper, is excited about a new business adventure he is taking part in.

He has partnered with Canadian 'pot giant' Canopy Growth and joins a long list of other celebs who work with the company, such as Snoop Dogg, Seth Rogen and Martha Stewart.

The Citizen reports that Drake will own 60% of the new company, More Life Growth Company, which will be based in Toronto, the rapper's hometown.

Mark Zekulin, chief executive of Canopy Growth, says Drake is an asset to the company.

"Drake’s perspective as a culture leader and entrepreneur combined with Canopy Growth’s breadth of cannabis knowledge will allow our new company to bring an unmatched cannabis experience to global markets."

Briefly.co.za gathered that Drake is excited about the new business.
