- Mzansi has weighed in on the report detailing an alleged cover-up in the Senzo Meyiwa case
- The investigation is turning full circle to focus on those present in Kelly Khumalo's home once more
- After years of speculation, citizens are unimpressed at the latest developments in the murder controversy
Sunday Independent has dropped a bombshell report detailing an alleged cover-up by the people present the day Senzo Meyiwa was fatally shot.
The media house revealed that investigators were exploring the theory that the robbery initially described in statement was a farce to cover up a far more grim crime.
The authorities are abandoning the search for the alleged criminals and turning their attention back onto the witnesses who were present on the day the Bafana Bafana legend died.
Briefly.co.za reported that the cover-up had allegedly involved the former lead investigator who is currently running the risk of defeating the ends of justice charges.
Once a new lead investigator has been appointed all those present on the day will be facing a renewed probe.
With AfriForum on the scene at the request of the family, the case seems set to finally reach breaking point after five years of waiting.
Citizens took to social media to weigh in on the news, upset that it has taken this long to get this far in the murder case.
