- Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune possesses amazing free kick-taking ability
- Former Kaizer Chiefs player Siyabonga Nkosi has liked Khune to Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo
- Nkosi claims that Khune boasts an impressive strike rate in training and Khune himself shared an interesting video via social media
Could Kaizer Chiefs fans soon see goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune hovering over set pieces in the near future?
Former Kaizer Chiefs player Siyabonga Nkosi has encouraged Khune to do so and claims the shot-stopper boasts a phenomenal strike rate in training.
Nkosi was so impressed that he likened Khune's ability to that of Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo.
Soccer Laduma reported that Nkosi waxed lyrical about Khune's free kick-taking ability when he worked as a pundit for the contest between Golden Arrows and Mamelodi Sundowns.
Nkosi said, “He takes the best free kicks you know. I always encouraged him to take them. Out of ten he would score seven in the top corner, the Cristiano Ronaldo type of shots.”
Briefly.co.za was able to source a video shared by Khune via Twitter, which showcases his set piece ability.
Khune takes three free kicks in the video and two of them find the top corner.
As a result of his injury battles, Khune has struggled to make the Chiefs lineup consistently, but perhaps his other skills could give coach Ernst Middendorp an extra reason to select him.
