KwaZulu-Natal has been plagued by violent storms this week and things are about to get worse, according to reports by the South African Weather Service (SAWS).
While the KZN midlands are still trying to recover following a tornado on Tuesday, Durban residents are scrambling to get ready for the peak of the storm.
SAWS reported the storm is set to peak on Thursday, with parts of the region expected to get up to 100mm of rain.
Warnings were issued to the eThekwini Metropolitan Municipality about heavy rain leading to flooding of roads and landslides.
The local weather service also said that the displacement of communities is sadly inevitable and the government should be prepared.
Briefly.co.za saw photos of the damage the Durban storms have caused so far and decided to gather five pics and videos that highlight the chaos in KZN.
One of the photos shows fallen trees in Durban CBD, as well as twisted traffic lights.
