- Joey Fatone has revealed that he and his former band members are considering a reunion tour
- The tour would happen without Justin Timberlake, who is not keen to reunite
- Fatone said current Dancing With The Stars contestant James Van Der Beek would be a shoe-in to replace Timberlake
Fatone is was a guest judge on Dancing With The Stars and was asked about a reunion after the show was recorded.
He said he and former band members JC Chasez, Lance Bass and Chris Kirkpatrick would be happy to reunite.
The idea first came about after the four of them reunited onstage at during Ariana Grande's Coachella performance back in April.
"I think that's when it really was kinda a lot stronger because I was with my fellas and stuff," Fatone explained of the desire to reunite following Coachella.
"We were excited, but it was Ariana's show. So we were just like, 'Hey, we're coming in, having a great time.' And that's what we did. We had a blast doing it 'cause it was, like, two songs, let's have fun, no stress on us."
Fatone said the group's Coachella performance made them all reminisce about the fun they had when they used to tour together.
"So, I say never say never," he said of a potential reunion.
However, he has no idea if a reunion will actually happen.
Fatone endorsed James Van Der Beek as a replacement for Timberlake after the actor, who is currently a contestant on Dancing With The Stars, did an amazing performance of the band's old track, Bye Bye Bye.
"He can be the fifth member of NSYNC... He has amazing hair. I wish I had that," Fatone said.
Van Der Beek said he's be pleased to join the group, as long as he could lip sync to Timberlake's parts.
