- A Grade 11 pupil has reached out to Mzansi social media users for help
- He is struggling to afford a school uniform and shoes
- Social media users were ready to help him and donate what he needed
A Limpopo school pupil reached out on social media to ask for help. He appealed to Mzansi for grey or black school pants. The desperate Grade 11 pupil also asked for size 6 school shoes. Mzansi social media users were ready to show up and help the teen.
Twitter user TshepangMaweng took to social media to make the appeal. He posted on the "O jewa keng?" tweet which has helped many others go viral and get assistance in the past. His post got over 1 000 retweets. He went on to say:
"I am a bit taller than most of my peers and also my mother can alter clothes...so please. I'd really appreciate y'all's help so much and I assure you that it won't go to waste as I am a very bright kid(and would be even better if I didn't play so much, according to my mother)"
Social media users stepped in to help the young man out. Twitter user ShimmyHarris said:
"Send me ur cell phone number I'll make a donation"
"All the best Tshepang, and study hard. Will donate a little something month end"
"Please DM me your school uniform sample. Would like to sponsor with a jersey, and blazer..."
"Hi Thepang. How many of your peers are also in the same situation? Let me know and lets see what we can do"
"Happy to contribute to the school. DM me details"
Those who wish to help him can reach him on his mother's number: 0837330438.
