Mandoza’s wife and the Cancer Association of South Africa will be launching “The Mandoza Foundation” to honour the anniversary of Mandoza’s death.
It has been reported that Mandoza’s wife, Mpho Tshabalala, is planning on launching this non-profit organisation because she wants to help save the lives of others and to continue Mandoza’s legacy.
According to Channel24, “The Mandoza Foundation” will be launched on September 18 at the Charlotte Maxeke Hospital in Johannesburg, which is believed to be where the kwaito legend, Mduduzi Edmund Tshabalala, also known as Mandoza, received treatment before passing away.
Mandoza sadly passed away after battling with cancer. According to Mpho Tshabalala, Mandoza only found out about his cancer when he was in stage three. Mpho was inspired to start the non-profit organisation because she believes that Mandoza could have been saved if his cancer had been picked up earlier.
It has been reported that the Foundation will be visiting townships to teach people and raise their awareness about cancer. Not only does Mpho want to teach and raise awareness, but she also wants to keep Mandoza’s legacy alive.
According to reports, Mandoza sadly passed away on Mpho’s birthday. Mpho stated that she sadly couldn’t save Mandoza, but with this Foundation, she will be able to help others.
