- Julius Malema has criticised the Springboks after they enjoyed a celebratory braai with Johann Rupert
- The EFF has long voiced their disapproval of not only the national team but the billionaire as well
- Malema took to social media to brand Rupert the real owner of South Africa
The EFF has been clear about their view of the Springbok victory, and the team enjoying a braai with billionaire Johann Rupert hasn't made them change their minds.
Briefly.co.za reported that spokesperson Mbuyiseni Ndlozi had blasted the ANC for abusing the nation with calls to celebrate the Rugby World Cup win.
Now Julius Malema has jumped on the bandwagon, sharing select photos of white teammates along with one of Mzansi's richest men.
The Red Beret leader had captioned the social media post with a jab at both the athletes and Rupert:
"The owner of South Africa had a braai with the real Springboks team at his place."
The 'real Springboks' on display were specifically white, despite the fact that the likes of Tendai “Beast” Mtawarira and fellow prop Trevor Nyakane attended.
Backlash ensued, but Malema remains unmoved with the post still pinned to the top of his page on social media.
