- Bathabile Dlamini has returned to South African politics and the country is up in arms
- Minister Lindiwe Sisulu is taking flake for appointing the ANCWL leader back into a government position
- The majority seem to blame the ruling party for allowing comrades to come and go as they please, regardless of competency
Bathabile Dlamini is back and supposedly on a mission to solve South Africa's housing crisis.
Appointed as the chair of a interim task force, the disgraced former minister has been handed a R1 billion budget, Briefly.co.za reported.
Human Settlements Minister Lindiwe Sisulu is the politician who made this unwanted comeback possible, claiming that Dlamini has the know-how the department needs to get the job done.
South Africans aren't convinced, with Dlamini currently trending on social media as citizens react to the news of her appointment.
The ANC has been a central focus of the criticism, with many voicing opinions on how the ruling party is focused on their own needs and not the nation's.
This comes as no surprise if one takes into consideration the flack President Cyril Ramaphosa took when he failed to oust Dlamini during his first Cabinet reshuffle.
The nation had applauded Ramaphosa when he strong-armed the former social development minister into resigning when the president denied her a slot amongst his ministers.
Take a look at some of the reactions to the situation below:
