Former WWE star-turned-Hollywood-actor, Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson, has released the first look at his superhero film, Black Adam.

The 47-year-old actor shared an emotional message with fans on his Instagram handle as he confirmed he would be joining the DC Universe.

Yes, some dreams do come true. The Rock revealed that growing up, he had always wanted to be a superhero. He noted that he loved Superman in particular as a child only for him to know later that Superman is a hero. And with the movie Black Adam, Dwayne Johnson is playing the role of a hero he had always wished for.

He shared a photo of himself decked out in his superhero costume titling the photo as The Man in Black. He also wrote a lengthy caption and in the end announced the release date of his forthcoming superhero film as 22 December 2021.
