- Rapper Jay Z is unhappy with the way athlete Colin Kaepernick handled his National Football League (NFL) workout session on Saturday
- Jay Z believes Kaepernick turned the session into a publicity stunt
- Kaepernick switched venues for the workout session at the last minute and also invited media to film everything
Jay Z believes 32-year-old Kaepernick turned the event from a genuine scouting session into a media circus.
Kaepernick has been at loggerheads with the NFL ever since he started kneeling during the singing of the national anthem.
He knelt in protest of police brutality against African-Americans.
Since he started kneeling three years ago, Kaepernick has found it difficult to get picked up by a team.
He subsequently sued the NFL for blacklisting him and settled the case out of court.
As the NFL's newly-appointed social justice consultant, it is believed Jay Z advocated for Kaepernick to be given a chance to show team scouts that he was ready to be back in the league.
According to TMZ, only eight out of the scheduled 25 team scouts showed up to watch Kaepernick train after he switched venues.
Reviews on the quarterback's skills are mixed, with some scouts saying they were impressed and others saying he was average.
Social media commentators are divided over this latest development. There are those who want to see Kaepernick back in the league, while others believe he is done for good after this weekend.
It still remains to be seen whether any team will pick up the currently unemployed sportsman.
