Although we've made strides in gender equality the past couple of years, the country, and the world, still have a long way to go.
One lady, who was simply identified by her Twitter handle @RooiValkie, posted a story on social media, proving that women are still not seen equally.
The stunning female pilot and her colleague were having dinner last week when they were approached by a couple of men.
The guys wanted to start a conversation and decided to start with careers. The tweep revealed the guys asked them what they do for a living, to which they replied: "We fly aeroplanes."
Instead of realising the stunning ladies were pilots, the men immediately jumped to the conclusion that they were flight attendants.
Both ladies had to set them straight and it led to an awkward conversation, which @RooiValkie detailed on Twitter, Briefly.co.za gathered.
The beautiful pilot added in another post that they were used to the situation and there were no hard feelings between them and the guys.
In fact, the guys made up for their blooper by buying @RooiValkie and her co-pilot some bubbly.
