Security guards watch couple's belongings after they leave car open

A couple have taken to social media to thank two security guards for keeping their belongings safe. They had accidentally left their car boot open and the guards stood watch to make sure that no valuables were stolen.

Lyn Strickland Coetzer shared her story on the ‎#ImStaying Facebook group. She explained that she and her husband were rushing to the doctor when they left their boot open. Upon their return, they saw two men standing next to the open boot. Herbert and Winners were watching over the car for over 35 minutes to make sure that nothing was taken.

"Both our laptops still safe and sound in the boot. If that does not restore your faith in humanity then I don't know"

Lyn thanked the men for their honesty and commitment.

"I could not resist giving them both a very big hug. We all left with big smiles on our faces"
