- South Africans were heart-broken over another mugging video
- The footage shows a group of men choking and robbing a pedestrian in the Joburg CBD
- The thugs did not care about the crowded location and no one tried to help the victim
South Africa Live posted a video on social media on Tuesday, showing yet another South African falling victim to the crime in Mzansi.
Briefly.co.za gathered the video shows a group of thugs mugging a man at Von Wielligh Street in the Johannesburg CBD.
The post quickly went viral, reaching over 69k views in just hours, and South Africans were left saddened and fuming.
Monica Young commented:
"This is sad. To think that I took a train from Florida to Johannesburg station and then walked to my mom's work at the OLD Telkom building every day after school. No problems. And I was then only in primary school. It is so sad to see our freedom taken hostage."
Calista Nyathi added:
"I am sure if one tried to help then everyone will follow suit. I've seen it before. Never underestimate the power of mob justice."
Moyo Nkosiyazi wrote:
"The worst part of it is that people will be passing by and none of them will help they will be looking as if it's not gonna happen to them someday."
Eugene Conway said:
"So many people there and nobody has the balls to help, how sad."
