- Siya Kolisi tracked down the young man who had gone viral during the Bok's victory tour
- Lebo Mogoma's emotional reaction to the Bok captain signing his boots touched SA's hearts
- Kolisi and his wife met with the Helpmekaar College pupil at the Players' Choice Awards on Tuesday night
During the Springboks' trophy tour earlier this month, a teen went viral for his emotional reaction to Siya Kolisi signing his rugby boots.
Briefly.co.za reported that one of the Boks' first stops on their tour was at Helpmekaar College in Johannesburg and one of the learners, Lebo Mogoma, was photographed crying as the #RWC2019 winning captain signed his boots.
Now, the young man had the opportunity to meet Siya Kolisi and to collect his hero, Cheslin Kolbe's, award at the Players' Choice Awards on Tuesday night.
Kolisi's wife, Rachel, posted a snap of Lebo joining them on the special night.
The stunning Mrs Kolisi - who rocked a gold mini dress - captioned the photo:
"Thank you to everyone who helped me get in touch with Lebo! And to @playerschoiceza for having us last night.
"We managed to video call Lebo's hero - @cheslin15 just before the awards started and Ches organised that Lebo collected his award on his behalf.
"He and his mom have had a really tough year. But a few small acts of kindness have really turned things around for them. Its cool to be kind."
