The process of GDE placement has, however, panicked many parents as the number of pupils who have not yet been placed stood at 14,000 as of the 19th of November, 2019.

The MEC for Education Panyaza Lesufi has commented on the matter and tried to settle the tension and maintain order. He stated that the department is pushing the schools to ensure that they increase the sizes of the classes to take care of the pupils who had not been placed. In his Twitter post, he promised that all the pupils would be placed by November 30th, which is the deadline for the process. The GDE admission placement process has been going on for a couple of days and is proving to be successful. The body has devised an easier method that will enable parents to reset the passwords of their GDE admissions online portals conveniently.
