The South African Hip Hop Awards are aimed at appreciating and praising the talented musicians who have made major contributions to the genre and the event takes place once a year.

The 2019 SAHHA took place at the Lyric Theatre in Johannesburg on 20 November and all the biggest stars of hip-hop were honoured.

Nadia Nakai bagged herself the Female of the Year Award and there isn't anyone out there who is more proud of her than Cassper Nyovest.

Cassper has been a mentor for Nadia and has been supporting her like a big brother, it's no wonder he's so happy for her.

Briefly.co.za knows that Mufasa has also won his fair share of awards at the ceremony - Best Promoter for #Fill Up and MVP/Hustler of the Year - but he was more focused on Nadia's success.

Taking to his Twitter account, Cassper expressed his joy and told her haters and nay-sayers just what he thinks of them.

Just before heading to bed, Cassper left his fans and followers with his take on how important the awards really are to hip-hop musicians.

"#SAHHA2019 is all we got. You niggas gotta stop acting fresh. This is all we got as Hip Hop. 1 night! If we don't help build it, we don't have anything to celebrate annually. Shout out to the people who organize it, the people who submit & attend and most importantly, the fans!"
