Ndlovu Youth Choir scoops Hollywood music award: Flying SA flag high

Only two months ago, runner-up in America's Got Talent, the Ndlovu Youth Choir, has the South African flag flying high once again!

Briefly.co.za learnt that they have managed to receive an award at the Hollywood Music in Media Award, Best Independent Music Video, in the US. The choir won with flautist Wouter Kellerman, with their Zulu version of Ed Sheeran’s Shape of You.

The ceremony took place at The Avalon in Hollywood on 20 November. It saw a celebration of a recognition of the most exceptional music artists in all visual media from around the globe. It included various genres recognising the industry’s finest talent.

The winning music video was only released approximately a year before the Limpopo-based choir took their place on the international stage.

The choir, together with Wouter, shared their amazing and exciting news by taking to social media.

We are all super excited for the Ndlovu Youth Choir’s first album. Exclusively licensed to Sony Music Entertainment Africa, the album is set to drop at the end of November.
