- Viggy and Virginia Qwabe's fans have wanted them to sign with DJ Tira's Afrotainment since their departure from Idols SA
- It was rumoured before that they had been signed by the popular DJ but the twins were tied to another record label first
- Now, they've been released and have signed with Afrotainment for real
The Qwabe twins have been going through a lot but are finally where they want to be - signed with popular DJ Tira.
It had been reported before that the singers were to be signed with Tira and his record label, Afrotainment, but it turned out that they couldn't - they were in contract with Gallo Entertainment.
ZAlebs reported that the twins would also have to settle for 60% of their earnings going to the record label and management company Think Entertainment, should they be approached by another label.
Fortunately though, the singing sensations have been released by Gallo Entertainment with no strings attached, Briefly.co.za learnt.
Kim Coppen, the twins' former manager, spoke to the Daily Sun about the matter. She was quoted as saying:
"The twins have been released from both Gallo and Think Entertainment contracts. I’ve released them without any strings attached, meaning they’re free to do whatever they want to do. I wish them all the best."
The fact that Viggy and Virginia have chosen to sign with DJ Tira comes as no big surprise. They've already worked together on a music video, appeared on stage together and collabed on a single, Hamba, which will be released on 29 November.
