A homeless man recently learnt that having a good heart pays off. In a video shared on social media, a stranger approaches him and asks for food. The man doesn't hesitate to give him his last meal. The stranger turns out to be BI Phakathi, who rewarded the kind act by giving the homeless man money.

BI Phakathi shared the footage on Facebook and it went viral. The homeless man said that his name was Lennox and he was from Mitchell's Plain. He told Phakathi that he was planning on eating some bread for dinner. When Phakathi asked for some of that bread, Lennox did not hesitate to open his bag and give it to him.

The pleasantly-surprised Phakathi gave the bread back and thanked the man for his kindness. He then told him that he was just testing him before proceeding to give the man some money.

Social media users were impressed by the footage. Facebook user DeAndre Cortez Corleone said:

"Lennox is a good person."

Stacy Leigh Abrahams said:

"Without flinching... That man wanted to share his last meal that he had kept for supper... I'm so embarrassed as a human being right now... Thanks again for inspiring and motivating us you are a great man, truly."

Zac Scott Kearns said:

"You are amazing Phakathi, one day I would like to do something like this. I would love to take a homeless person to lunch and take them to get some new clothes and blankets."
