Well the award goes to Nasty C once again! This time it is for SMA, a song the rapper did that is proving to be SA hip-hop’s biggest song in sales this year. There is no question that Nasty C has proven his status in the SA hip-hop industry.

The album, Strings And Bling, was dropped just over a year ago. SMA proved to be the strongest song from the stellar sophomore album, with others singles, like King and Jungle, also receiving plaques. This has allowed Nasty C to add to the collection on his wall.

Briefly.co.za learnt that the Universal Music Group South Africa held the awards ceremony on Wednesday night where they presented deserving artists with plaques for the sales on their music.

The 22-year-old rapper, who was not present at the awards, received two plaques, one for his efforts on Boity’s Wuz Dat and one for his very own SMA.

The figures are amazing with SMA achieving 5 times platinum, which means it has sold over 1 000 000 in sales. It doesn’t end there, 22,2 million streams were received, making it the biggest song for Nasty C on the album.
