Four years ago, an Arizona grandmother, Wanda Dench, accidentally invited Jamal Hinton, 20, to Thanksgiving.
The 62-year-old thought she was inviting her own grandson but she had the wrong cellphone number and ended up extending the invite to Hinton instead.
According to ABC7news, the text message went viral and duo decided to meet each other.
The granny and Hinton hit it off and they have been close friends ever since. This year's Thanksgiving is their fourth one together, Briefly.co.za learned.
The sweet story gave social media users an extra bit to be thankful for this holiday season.

"What a sweet and heartwarming story. That's what makes the holiday season so special. People doing extraordinary acts of kindness. You both are amazing people. God bless you both and all your loved ones. Have a blessed and happy Thanksgiving."
Tallulah Cusati, who goes by the Twitter handle @tcbama1, added:
"I truly love this story. Thanks grandma, for including this great young man in your life. I am sure the two of you are much richer in faith, by knowing each other. God's blessings to both your families."
