Twitter user TomiRikods shared the bizarre story on his social media account, saying:
"Some guy on the DM says he wants to marry me, says he will take me out of Sharpeville, will buy me a car and a double storey house in Midrand, he says these younger boys will give me a heartache and I should choose him cause he will take care of me"
He even posted screen shots showing snippets of the conversation with this apparently wealthy stranger. Social media users were not convinced by what the man was offering. Twitter user thobs10 said:
"Yoh nna I don't trust him stru! Next thing he'll ask you to send him airtime so he can transfer the R5k o tla bona"
"But also why is he stingy with letters? "Where is Y parents to charge me Y lobola?" Bathong!"
"Get the bag. Send the files. Give us tips. PERIODT!"
"He must send bank statements"
"Lol if you believe him then why not babes? You got nothing to lose"
