Media personality and fashion icon, Bonang Matheba, schooled her fans on how to spot a fake fashion fad.
Bonang is known for her timeless style and fashion trends. She is always on point with her hair, make-up and even her designer heels and bags score a tick on the fashionista’s list.
Which is why, when she took to social media to call out a shoe trend, as being a designer kock off, fans didn’t hesitant to believe her.
Bonang posted a photo of the show (that looks like a Cinderella slipper) and tweeted: “Been seeing a lot of fake Amina Muaddi shows. I wonder if they’re aware.”
World renowned celebs like Rihanna, Kendall Jenner and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, have been spotted wearing the original Amina Muaddi Begum Glass Transparent sandals.
Back in Mzansi, stars like Nadia Nakai and Norma Gigaba have been seen rocking them too.
According to ZAlebs, the knock-off has been mass produced and is probably available at your nearest China mall or local shopping centres.
But Bonang’s fans were surprised that the shoe was actually designer or even a knock off. They just said they bought whatever they could afford.
Here are a few comments from Bonang’s tweet:
Just over two weeks ago, Briefly.co.za reported that if ever there was a South African woman who showed that hard work, passion and dedication pay off, it's Bonang Matheba.
She has achieved so many heights and is still aiming for more - the inspiring woman is constantly adding more dreams to her list and making her admirers and fans very proud.
Not only is Bonang's bubbly drink, House of BNG, a massive success, but she's also bagging awards and making the covers of magazines all the time. Not to mention that her reality TV show is super popular.
Now, Briefly.co.za gathered that Bonang's dreams and aspirations are taking her to 'The Land of Opportunity' - America. She's already represented Mzansi like a boss over there in the past.
