Proud woman shows off new home with before and after pictures

A proud woman has taken to social media to share pictures of her new home. She expressed gratitude at having come from living in a house with a leaking roof to having a comfortable space.

Nomvuyo Tommy Matomela‎ shared her inspiring story on the #ImStaying Facebook group. She said that her previous home would flood when it rained.

"I made a promise to myself that as long I live I will change my mum's living condition."

The woman's mother was a domestic worker and did the best she could to help them. Nomvuyo worked herself to the bone to fulfil her silent promise. Unfortunately her mother passed on before she could enjoy the fruits of their success.

"I'm not bragging, I'm trying to say... whatever condition you are in, it's not permanent. With hard work, resilience and staying humble it's all possible."

Many social media users were impressed with her story and congratulated her for the success. Facebook user Gavin Govender said:
