SuperSport United striker Thamsanqa Gabuza went viral after pulling off an unforgettable tackle on Stellenbosch FC defender Sibusiso Mthethwa.
The tackle has been a big talking point due to its ferocity as Mthethwa was sent crashing into the advertising boards away from the soccer pitch.
SA Rugby Magazine decided to have some fun with photos of the tackle as they shared them via Twitter.
In the caption, the rugby publication requested social media users to rate Gabuza's tackle.
Briefly.co.za noted the comical reaction as South Africans poked fun at the outrageous form of defence.
Most tweeps rated the tackle highly, but felt it would be more suited to rugby or the WWE.
Everybody Loves *Teedo* (@Teedo_720) jokingly referred to the Rugby World Cup final:
"Better than Owen Farrell, at least he wrapped his arm."
Lethu Nkosi (@Lethu_Nkos) added,
"He needs to consider changing the sporting code."
Soso_official (@Sosoofficial1) lauded the effectiveness of the tackle:
"He separates man from ball, so 10/10."
Shawn (@uctoldboy) went into the finer technicalities:
"Got man and ball, used the side-line. Heads a bit high and on the wrong side and not following through with a leg drive. Overall not bad for a soccer player."
