A farmer and trainee sangoma, Fritz "Majeke" Joubert committed a horrible crime that left South Africa shocked to the core. The horrific incident took place on small farm near Gonubie on Saturday.
Briefly.co.za reported Joubert murdered a 40-year-old traditional healer, Anele Hoyana, and held his wife and children hostage.
Soon, #RIPAneleHoyana started trending on Twitter and South Africans mourned the death of the traditional healer.
We decided to take a look at some of the heartfelt tributes to the late Hoyana.
Twitter user, @DrTsholo, commented:
"That video is sickening and heartbreaking! Heartfelt condolences to the family! Can justice be served, such inhumane acts cannot be tolerated!"
Candice, who goes by the Twitter handle @mbaleigh_hlanze, added:
"My heart just sank for the kid as his father was brushing his back trying to keep him calm. What a sight #RipAneleHoyana."
Another tweep, @Tshenolo_Mo, wrote:
"Rest in peace, Anele Hoyana. You protected your child. You tried to remain calm for your child during the whole rant. I hope the last memory your child will have is of you brushing his back, embracing him in your arms and whispering words of comfort in his ear. #RipAneleHoyana."
