Pitso Mosimane believes the Kaizer Chiefs have what it takes to smash the Mamelodi Sundowns' 71 points league record, KickOff reported.
In the 2015/2016 season, the Brazilians won the Absa Premiership with 71 points and became the league's record title holders.
However, Mosimane now believes Amakhosi can break the record by reaching at least 75 points if they can keep up their form this season.
Mosimane - who previously threw shade at the Chiefs - said if the seasonal leaders can break the record, they should be given the "biggest round of applause."
Mosimane was quoted by KickOff saying:
"They are on a roll, they are going well. Don't be jealous. We can talk about other things that are linked to how they win games but at the end those are wins. Look at the log and be realistic."

The Brazilians coach took to his Twitter account to gush about the anniversary of his coaching gig at the Sundowns.
"Seven years ago, on 2 Dec, 2012, I began my journey as the Coach of Mamelodi Sundowns. I have been honoured to lead the team and give our supporters memories that can never be taken from us! Ka Bo Yellow Masandawana."
