For most people, reaching the age of 60 marks a time when one retires, takes a step back and unwinds.
Lilian Williams-Valentyn saw it differently and the inspirational elderly lady pursued her studies in early childhood education.
On Tuesday, Lilian revealed that her sacrifices were worthwhile as she recently graduated with a national diploma.
The most impressive aspect of the achievement is that Lilian is 64 years of age.

Lilian shared the news via the #ImStaying Facebook group and the post has already gone viral.
Briefly.co.za surveyed the responses and many South Africans were clearly inspired by Lilian's accomplishment.
