A man took to social media to share photos of a horrific car accident he survived. He added that his friend, who was in the car with him, was not so lucky. Social media users had mixed reactions with some questioning why God would take one life and spare another.

Twitter user UmalambaneZN took to the social media platform and shared photos of the mangled car along with the caption:

"On this day around this time in 2017 God took my friend away but gave me a second chance. How I survived I still don't understand"

Social media users had divided reactions to his post, but the majority were empathetic. Twitter user hlubizer said:
