- Georgina Rodriguez believes Cristiano Ronaldo is still the best player and an inspiration to many footballers despite not winning the 2019 Ballon d'Or
- The Portuguese megastar was snubbed again as Lionel Messi clinched the coveted award on Monday night
- Georgina took to Instagram to react to the snub with a cryptic message, describing Ronaldo as incomparable
Georgina Rodriguez, Cristiano Ronaldo's girlfriend, has broken silence on Lionel Messi beating the Portuguese star to Ballon d'Or gong on Monday night.
Ronaldo was again snubbed for the individual honour for the second consecutive year with the Barcelona ace clinching the award ahead of him and Liverpool centre back Virgil van Dijk finishing in second.
Although Ronaldo was crowned Serie A Player of the Year award the same night, Mirror reports that his partner Georgina took to her Instagram to react to the snub with a cryptic message.
The 25-year-old model posted a picture of Ronaldo with his two Serie A award and captioned it with lovely praise that seems to aim jibes at the Portuguese' critics.
"Incomparable, Imparable, valiente, inconformista," Georgina said accompanied by lovely emojis.
"There are figures and titles, of all this you are the protagonist with the best results, such as: the League of Nations, the Italian Cup, the Serie A Championship, Best Player of the Serie A, among others.
"But fortunately neither the awards nor the titles speak only for you, even if you have them a lot. What speaks best about you is yourself, your passion, your hunger for self-improvement, your fellowship, because you are the inspiration of Soccer and Sport for millions and millions of people.
"You are not afraid of the challenges, you leave your comfort zone and you continue surpassing yourself and showing the world what it is like to be number 1. I love you."
Earlier, Legit.ng reported that Juventus defender, Giorgio Chiellini, raised accusing finger at Real Madrid while blaming Los Blancos for blocking Cristiano Ronaldo from winning his sixth Ballon d'Or gong in 2018.
The Portuguese star won Champions League trophy with the Spanish giants in 2017/18 season before sealing a transfer switch to Juventus in a deal worth £100million.
