- An Indian filmmaker has gone viral for all the wrong reasons
- Daniel Shravan took to social media to voice his opinions on rape and murder of women
- Shravan said sexual assault should be legalised and it sparked world-wide outrage
Daniel Shravan, who is an Indian filmmaker according to IOL, was trending on social media after he called for the legalisation of rape.
Shravan wrote in a lengthy social media post that governments should legalise rape so that perpetrators would not be forced to kill their victims afterwards.
In the post, Shravan called murder a crime but said that rape is a "corrective punishment".
"Rape is better than murder" - he wrote in the post.
Shravan went on to call on women to carry condoms with them and not refuse sex to potential rapists to save their own lives.
Needless to say, social media users did not share Shravan's views and they immediately started to drag him.
Shravan was dubbed a "sexually frustrated man" and mentally ill individual. However, the backlash did not deter the filmmaker from his views.
When a tweep said Shravan should tell his views to the women in his family, he said he would.
"I would tell the same for any of my family ladies if they fall under that 'adamant' category," he wrote in a tweet.
Briefly.co.za gathered that in another post, Shravan told a Twitter user, Ranga G, that women are raped because "these adamant bitches won't consent."
Social media users worldwide dragged Shravan for his views and they held nothing back.
