Beyoncé's dad, Matthew Knowles, has left many fans shocked after sharing previously unreleased music from Destiny's Child . The music was recorded back when they used to go by the name Girls Tyme.
According to reports, the album, Destiny's Child: The Untold Story, came out on multiple streaming platforms via Knowles' Music World Entertainment label on Monday, 2 December. The material comes from when the group consisted of Beyoncé, Kelly Rowland, LeToya Luckett and LaTavia Robertson during the early 90s.
Matthew first announced the album back on 21 November, but many didn't really take him seriously. Interestingly, Knowles also released an accompanying book of the same title.
It is unclear whether Beyoncé gave a nod to this, however, everyone knows that Queen B and her father have had a rocky relationship.
It was gathered that Mathew's habitual infidelity led the singer's mom, fashion designer Tina Knowles (now Lawson), to split from him in 2011, straining his relationship with his daughters.
After years of professional ups and downs, Beyoncé announced that she was officially cutting professional ties with her father in 2011, till this moment, they remain estranged. However, Mathew is bent on showing the world music from the archives.
Meanwhile, at the tender age of seven, Blue Ivy Carter won her very first Soul Train award. The daughter of Beyoncé and Jay-Z racked up the honour for her contribution to her famous mom's hit, Brown Skin Girl.
The music is a tribute to women of colour and it is Blue Ivy’s first songwriting credit.
