A man has taken to social media to share how he was inspired by popular philanthropist, BI Phakathi, to give away clothes to the needy. He took to the streets of Pietermaritzburg, KZN and donated what he had to strangers.

Ayanda Ayo shared his post on social media and BI Phakathi posted it on his page. The man shared pictures of his charity drive along with the caption:

"BI Phakathi I don’t know Sir, but this what we did today with my friend give away clothes to random people in PMB, you are a inspiration in my life, I learnt to give..."

The post left a lot of social media users inspired and impressed. Facebook user Denise Else Becker said:

"BI Phakathi has set the most amazing trend! And example that it is better to give than to receive! Amazing work Ayanda Ayo!"
