Last week Thursday, Eskom announced the dreaded return of load-shedding. Briefly.co.za reported wet coal has been blamed for the shortfall in power generation.

Earlier on Monday morning, the power utility announced stage two load-shedding, only to bump it up to stage four a couple of hours later.

According to TimesLIVE, Eskom revealed the situation had worsened, with an “additional loss of units at our power stations”.

The publication added that the probability of load-shedding for the rest of the week is high.
