- The draw secured the Sundowns a valuable away point
- Video footage shows Wydad fans showing Pitso Mosimane love after the game despite their team not winning
Pitso Mosimane was a crowd favourite at the CAF Champions League on Saturday and videos showed Wydad Casablanca fans showering him with love.
Briefly.co.za saw videos on Twitter showing Wydad fans chanting the Mamelodi Sundowns' coach's name after the two teams ended with a 0-0 draw.
The goalless draw secured The Brazilians an away point, resulting in them staying on top of the Group C log.
Despite Wydad failing to secure a win, the club's fans were left with no hard feelings and they showed their appreciation for Mosimane.
Mosimane reacted to the love he received with a video and he wrote:
"Humbling to hear the @WACofficiel supporters chanting my name! Unbelievable! God Bless the Continent and @Masandawana family. African memories and scenes I will leave for my children and take them with me to my grave! Alhamdilla."
Mosimane may have been a celeb in Morocco and his team scored a valuable point but he was not completely satisfied with the outcome.
According to KickOff, Mosimane was not disappointed by the draw but he would have wanted a goal at the least.
The publication quoted the Sundowns coach, saying:
"If it was a draw I would have preferred 1-1 or 2-2 than 0-0 because a beautiful game like this must have goals."
