Mzansi has had it fair share of bizarre funerals in the past and now yet another one has surfaced online.
A video was shared on Facebook showing mourners standing and jumping on a deceased's coffin. The clip was shared by Taxi Times on the social media platform.
However, it was not revealed where or when the video was taken, nor is it clear whose funeral it was.
The video reached more than 102 000 views in less than a week and South Africans were left shocked by the lack of respect shown in the footage.
Adriaan Van Rooyen commented:
"I know we all have different cultures, and most of them i understand. But can someone please explain what part of whoever's culture this is, is going on here."
Sphiwe Chauke wrote:
"That is why people die still young, they have no respect now a days. This is not good guys, do the right thing."
Kanema Pridestar said:
"SA is superbly damaged beyond repair."
Anikie Chiloane added:
"I'm so disappointed in our beloved country cause it has become Babylon."
Busani Nkala commented:
"Finally, that day is getting closer and closer. We no longer have respect for the dead, we have become monsters among ourselves. So disgusting."
