Even though South Africa is experiencing load-shedding, we can still rely on Trevor Noah to bring some light to our lives. Trevor has scored a prestigious Critics’ Choice Award nomination.
With the Grammys held last month, Trevor was nominated for his Netflix special - Trevor Noah: Son of Patricia. It has gone on to be nominated in the Critics’ Choice Awards in the Best Comedy Special category.
Briefly.co.za learnt that the artists he will be going up against are of the highest level. This is the line-up of those he will be competing against: Amy Schumer: Growing, Jenny Slate: Stage Fright, Live in Front of a Studio Audience: Norman Lear’s All in the Family and The Jeffersons, Ramy Youssef: Feelings, Seth Meyers: Lobby Baby and Wanda Sykes: Not Normal.
We will have to wait to the outcome until 12 January when it will be aired on CW network in America.
Trevor took to Instagram to say how honoured he is for the nomination Critics’ Choice Awards. He said it was an amazing way to start off the week.
