- A social media user expressed unhappiness at Zozibini Tunzi winning Miss Universe
- It didn't take long for other social media users to start dragging the person for trying to say Zozibini may not deserve her crown
- People from all over the world had something to say in defence of Miss SA and Universe
A social media users asked his/her followers who they think is prettier - Zozibini Tunzi, Miss SA and Universe, or Lina Ljungberg, Miss Sweden.
Although the tweep was comparing Miss Universe to Miss Sweden perhaps only out of curiosity, roasting promptly followed.
Perhaps it's because people thought the person was trying to diss Zozi and say she didn't deserve the win that the tweet got so much attention.
Miss Sweden did not make it past the top 20 and people were quick to point this out to the original poster.
The tweet was in French, and the "him" could be a grammatical 'lost in translation issue', not shade thrown intentionally.
On the left, miss South Africa elected # MissUniverse2019.
On the right, miss Sweden eliminated to give him the place.
Which of the two is the most beautiful without ideology, according to you?
Briefly.co.za gathered some of the responses the tweet got, and boy, people did not hold back! Many peeps also felt that Miss Sweden was getting unnecessarily insulted because of the comparison.
"The worst part of this tweet is that Miss Universe @zozitunzi is somewhere busy Signing big contracts. On the other side Miss Sweden is out there congratulating Zozi . Hence you Mr Or Mrs Damocles you are busy celebrating the twitter notifications. Congrats"
"How do YOU look, let's see your face first then we can decide if you qualify to compare these beauty queens"
"We nja "I grew up in a place that people with my skin and type of hair are not considered beautiful" You are a disgrace and you should be ashamed Comparing two beautiful women to make yourself feel better Sies fariki ke wena ..."
"Our Miss Universe is beautiful and intelligent. She won. Deal with it! Acting like a toddler won't change anything."
