Democratic Alliance federal council chair Helen Zille has taken a jab at former president Jacob Zuma. While many feel load-shedding was not as common during his tenure, Zille reminded the nation of a promise Zuma made.
Following days of severe load-shedding, including the implementation of Stage 6, many were wishing for the return of former president Jacob Zuma.
Briefly.co.za reported that celeb musician AKA had told SA to lie in the bed we created with Zuma's ousting.
Social media has been abuzz as citizens longed for days gone by, where power outages were not a regular unwanted house guest in Mzansi.
But Helen Zille reminded the nation of a promise the ANC veteran had made to the country:
"There will never, ever be load-shedding again."
While one could argue that Zuma no longer holds the reigns, his time as president was not so long ago that his administration could get off scot-free for the issues currently facing Eskom.
