He is Zambia's most capped player, having represented the country 120 times. He has also captained their national team on several outings.

2. Tournaments

He has been the first-choice goalkeeper for Zambia since making his debut in 2004. The keeper played in the 2006, 2008, 2010, 2012 and 2015 African Nations Cup.

3. Club career

Mweene won the PSL Goalkeeper of the Season award in the 2008-09 season. He was in great demand after the successful spell but remained loyal to Free State Stars until the end of the 2012-13 season. On 27 June 2013, Mamelodi Sundowns secured a contract with the talented Zambian.
