The challenges facing Eskom has the whole nation discussing their views on the way forward. Herman Mashaba has his own ideas, and they include jail time for the corrupt.
Herman Mashaba is currently hard at work figuring out exactly what South Africans want.
Briefly.co.za reported that the former mayor had launched The People's Dialogue, engaging with the nation.
Naturally, the focus has turned to Eskom as the country reels from the impact of continued load-shedding.
Mashaba has shared his proposal for sorting out the issues at the state-owned entity:
"What do you think of this idea? A public audit that is transparent and holds the corrupt accountable. Let's Audit Eskom from top to bottom, recover the stolen money and jail the thieves."
This comes as President Cyril Ramaphosa claims that sabotage had a hand in the current power outages. The politician is adamant those responsible will be brought to book.
Load-shedding is set to continue on Wednesday, with Eskom announcing Stage 2 outages nationwide.
