South African-born actress, Charlize Theron, is on a roll. She has been nominated for yet another prestigious award, the Screen Actors Guild award.
Earlier this week, Briefly.co.za learned that Theron bagged a Golden Globe Best Actress nod for her role in the movie, Bombshell. She was nominated for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role and the Critics' Choice Award.
TshisaLIVE reported that the film, which centres on female Fox News employees’ allegations against the then-CEO, Roger Ailes, was nominated for four awards at the ceremony.
Charlize, who is a producer of the film, couldn’t hide her excitement at the news of the nominations. She shared a video of her jumping up and down dressed in a gown on Instagram.
The video then cut to block out her gown which was flapping, which is believed to have been edited out the part where in her excitement, Theron may have ‘flashed’ the camera and those in the room.
She captioned the Instagram post: “Whoops. Got a bit too excited about the Screen Actors Guild Awards nomination for our cast of Bombshell. Congrats all you beautiful humans! So grateful to have been part of this journey with you.”
The awards will be held on 20 January. Looks like the actress is gonna start the new year with a bang!
About a month ago, Briefly.co.za reported that South African-born actress Charlize Theron was honoured with the Hollywood Career Achievement Award at the Hollywood Film Awards on Sunday.
Theron's award was presented to her by actress Nicole Kidman, whom she starred with in the movie Bombshell.
Kidman received the same award last year, so Theron is in very good company. Theron was very emotional during her acceptance speech.
