The nominees for the prestigious Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards have been revealed and they're filled with black diamonds that glitter stunningly.

The aim of the awards is to give recognition to actors who did amazing work and to show them that they are appreciated.

Nominees for awards include talented artists such as Jharrel Jerone, Jamie Foxx and Lupita Nyong'o, to name but a few.

Briefly.co.za learnt via TheGrapevine that Cynthia Erivo and Lupita Nyong’o both got nominated for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role.

Jamie Foxx received a nomination for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Supporting Role.

Jharrel Jerome is nominated in the Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Television Movie or Miniseries category, along with Mahershala Ali.

On top of that, Sterling K. Brown got a nod with a nomination for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Drama Series.

The 26th annual SAG Awards will take place on 19 January and will be presented by Leonardo DiCaprio.
