- Eswatini playmaker Leon Manyisa recently sparked the interest of European giants Real Madrid
- The 18-year-old had a trial at the Galacticos, but a permanent deal could not be finalised
- Manyisa has since arrived back in South Africa and will reportedly sign for a Gauteng-based club
Eswatini attacking ace Leon Manyisa made a name for himself when European giants Real Madrid showed interest in signing the youngster.
Manyisa was spotted by one of Madrid's scouts and invited for a trial at the home of the Galacticos.
The trial didn't go according to plan, with reports varying on why a permanent deal was not reached.
Manyisa has since returned to Mzansi and is reportedly set to sign for a Gauteng-based club.
KickOff.com reported that the youngster has been training with Highlands Park in the interim.
Manyisa's agent, Ratshibvuma Mulovdedzi, confirmed: "Yes, Manyisa arrived at Highlands Park on Monday. He's training with them but nothing has been agreed as yet."
Briefly.co.za understands that the move to the PSL would be a temporary one as Manyisa's sights are still set on Madrid.
It's been reported that former Kaizer Chiefs shot-stopper William Shongwe was instrumental in helping Manyisa make the move from his native country.
If Manyisa indeed joins Highlands Park, he'll be under the expert guidance of coach Owen da Gama.
However, da Gama takes no prisoners and recently took aim at the referees in a clash with Orlando Pirates.
