The #BaseHottestMCs list has been trending for all the wrong reasons.

A number of rappers, including Shane Eagle, AKA and Nadia Nakai have complained about it.

Briefly.co.za reported that AKA thought the entire list was trash.

Sho Madjozi placed second on the list and was happy about it.

She was dragged into the negativity when Bonang Matheba asked if she was even a rapper.

One can only wonder what possessed Queen B to shade another young female icon like that.

At first, Madjozi responded by sub-tweeting a tweet she sent out in March.

The tweet read, "I don't answer that corny 'Is Sho Madjozi a rapper?' question. I just do my work."

However, she later tweeted the proper definitions of rap and hip hop to try end the speculation once and for all.

She wrote, "Rap is not a genre. Rap is a verb and it can be done on any beat. Hip hop is a genre. But this is not the Hip Hop list (sic)."

Matheba is not the first female celebrity to come for Madjozi unprovoked.

In September, Briefly.co.za reported that Bonnie Mbuli stepped away from social media after being mercilessly dragged for bullying Madjozi.

Dang, can this young lady live?!
