Idols SA star Paxton Fielies' 2017 single 'Smother' goes gold

Paxton Fielies, Idols SA 2017 winner, has been producing hit songs since she rose to fame and her single Smother has been certified gold. She released the single in collaboration with Craig Lucas.

Briefly.co.za learned that Gallo Record Company announced the achievement this week. Smother has been a regular feature on the radio since its release in 2017.

Paxton's latest release, No Distractions was produced with Dr Moruti according to timeslive.co.za.

“I don't like being boxed or categorised. There are always elements of pop in my music. I actually don't know what genre this is because it's faster than amapiano and slower than house. It is a mix of everything,” she said in an interview.
