- Some trolls still think that Nasty C lied about being offered a deal by Jay-Z in 2016
- A tweep brought up the topic again, even though Nasty C had explained what went down back then
- Instead of having to explain everything again, Nasty C simply laughed off the troll's comment
Mzansi rapper, Nasty C, has addressed social media claims that he rejected a deal offered to him by US rapper, Jay-Z.
Most of the time, social media users tend to lay out theories as facts on the platforms, which often leads to major confusion. Nasty C’s dilemma is a prime example.
Back in 2016, news emerged that Roc Nation (Jay-Z’s record label), offered him a deal but Nasty C rejected the deal and chose Mabala Noise instead.
Nasty C spoke to 5FM at the time and explained why he made such decisions.
“Mabala Noise was the move that I wanted to make. So, regardless of what Roc Nation had to say… I don’t think it really mattered,” said Nasty C.
The Hell Naw rapper then went on to explain that Mabala Noise had offered him a contract that he could not turn down.
“I’m happy with what I got. It wasn’t a 360 deal. It wasn’t a random artist deal. It was something that I always wanted. I always said, ‘If I sign, it will be under these terms’, and Mabala brought those terms,” added Nasty C.
Unfortunately, things didn’t work out the way Nasty C had planned with the label and had to leave.
Forward to 2019, and a tweep decided to bring up the news again. The tweep suggested that Nasty C lied about being offered a deal.
He wrote: “@Nasty_CSA Didn't Turn Down The Deal With Jay Z. He Wasn't Even Offered Any Deal To Start With. The Publicity Stunt Was For Exposure And He Got Hyped From Then. They Are All In One Circle, Jay Z Only Played Part Of That Stunt Because Nasty C Was Already Recruited Under Masons."
But Nasty C retweeted his tweet and just laughed the comment off without any explanation.
Meanwhile, a few days ago, Briefly.co.za reported that Nasty C dropped some major news that got him all emotional – our boi is collaborating with American rapper T.I!
There is no denying that Nasty C has worked hard for what he has today and that his glory didn’t just fall into his lap. The young rapper is a true inspiration whose hustle is respected far and wide.
Briefly.co.za learnt that Nasty C recently spilt the tea on social media. Working with T.I is no small change.
Taking to social media, Nasty C first posted a clip of T.I telling the world he’s collaborated with him. What a moment!
