Mzansi exchanges hilarious get-out-of-work photos after public holiday

South Africans were still enjoying the buzz of the Day of Reconciliation on Monday when all of the sudden it was Tuesday. Not feeling like getting back to work, Mzansi came up with hilarious ways to score another off day.

On Monday, South Africans celebrated the Day of Reconciliation and whether they were braaiing with friends or chilling at home, one thing was for sure - no one was looking forward to Tuesday and it's responsibilities.

So, just before the public holiday was over, Mzansi social media users combined forces to try and come up with a 'get-out-of-work-free' card. social media users shared several photos with each other which can be used as an excuse not to go into work on Tuesday.

We decided to take a look at five hilarious photos posted online.

1. Where it all started

The entire concept of the 'get-out-of-work-free' card started with a post by social media user, @Thandoo_Zuma.

The lady shared a photo of a broken-down taxi on the side of the road. She captioned the post:

"Here's a pic for anyone running late for work tomorrow."

2. Need a week off? No problem

Keke Mersault, who goes to the Twitter @mgast, posted photos of what appears to be a burst geyser.

"In case you need the day or the week off," - he captioned the post.

3. Boss, the taxi is late

Another photo posted by @Thandoo_Zuma showed commuters queuing as they wait for a taxi to arrive.

4. Makeshift breathing tubes

Twitter user, @bozzie_t, posted a snap of a man pretending to be in the hospital. Okay, we have to admit the earphones are not exactly selling it but it's still funny.

5. Proof of hospitalisation

A tweep, Khauhelo Mafa, posted a snap of a hospital bed, writing:

"For anyone who needs proof of hospitalisation. Ladies."
