DJ Shimza and DJ PH have just shown why they are counted as two of Mzansi's most popular and in-demand in their chosen careers.

The pair worked hard to create a new world record over the weekend. Their multitude of fans is super proud of them.

The two DJs made history when the did a 72-hour unstoppable set - this is a whole new record.

Briefly.co.za gathered that the event kicked off on 12 December and lasted all the way until 15 December.

It took place in the Sowetan club, Icon. Fans were naturally concerned for the DJs' health, but they pulled through and did an amazing job.

What's even more surprising than the pair's ability to keep going in South Africa's summer heat is the fact that fans wanted more when the time came for the music to be turned off.

It's quite possible that Shimza and PH just became living legends with their unique new record.

The DJs were naturally exhausted near the end of the massive set but their fans made it worth every second.
